Northwest Yovel Jubilee will return to Esther Short Park in Vancouver, Washington on Sunday, August 7 – 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. Sponsored by Rehoboth Messianic Congregation, the event aims to excite people about the Jewish roots of Christian faith and will have a decidedly Israeli feel. Headed by Pastor David Sumner and his wife Ellie, this year’s theme is “Walk in the Light” and is based on a scripture in Psalms 89:15(16). Internationally known Messianic artist, Ted Pearce will be the feature act this year. The event will also include the Rehoboth Dance team and several Messianic dance groups from around the Northwest. There will be opportunities throughout the day for attendees to participate in learning a dance or two. In addition to stage presentations, several vendors from around the Northwest will be selling their wares. Hand-crafted items, Judaica, books, CDs, as well as items from Israel will be featured. The food booth will sell hummus wraps, all-beef hot dogs and drinks with the proceeds going to Open Door Ministries in Vancouver and Joseph Storehouse in Israel. There will also be face painting for the children.
